Adopt-A-Highway

TriRochester has adopted a section of Olmsted County 14 as a way to help out in the community.  And, since many of us use this road, we can enjoy a cleaner road as we are out riding.

Our adopted section of highway is west of Genoa from County Road 105 to County Road 5. This section of road is on our August Time trial route as well as on the route used by the Treadman Duathlon.

We will arrange a group outing soon to spruce up our adopted section for the fall.

Sweet. That's in my riding area. Does that mean we can also litter there knowing a fellow TriRochester member will clean it up? Wait, am I missing the point???

Seriously though... I think this also helps our 'street cred' literally. "If" motorists notice it, they may be a little kinder to cyclists out on the streets/roads.
