Cinco Du Mayo- Double Champions for TriRochester

This weekend began with trophies for TriRochester members Ruth Brennan-Morrey and Erich Heneke at Stillwater, MN. Ruth was the first place female and fourth place overall in the long course Duathlon (5K Run- 20 Mile Bike - 5K Run) with a 1:29:36 finish. She also had the fastest second run of the day. Erich was the men’s overall winner in the short course race (2 mile Run, 10 Mile Bike, 2 mile Run). Erich also had the fastest bike split in the short course race. Cinco Du Mayo is held at Square Lake near Stillwater, an area with rolling hills and excellent roads.  This race is also known for its post-race tacos. The guy that came in second behind Erich wrote a blog post about the race. He referred to Erich as "tall guy" and was surprised by his speed considering his height. Great to see a TriRochester athlete in the pictures.
